This singing dog loves giving out concerts, so be sure you can handle them. Contrary to what his looks may say, this breed is friendly with other animals and people. The American Leopard Hound was given its name for a very noticeable feature in it, its spotted fur. This intelligent and caring breed is the perfect match for a family with children, seeing as they take it as a priority to protect them. It also loves to let you know what it needs or wants through its body language, so don’t worry on being on the loss for what it wants anytime!

Also known as “Amstaff” or “Staffie”, this breed is incorrectly known for being violent, since it is part of the “Pit Bull” group. In reality, this breed is loving and loyal to its family, and with proper socialization and training when growing up (as with all puppies), they will greet strangers with the same love. They are very strong, however, and need an owner that can handle this strength on a leash when exercising, or they might insist on pulling towards where they want to go.

This active breed is perfect for anyone that loves going outside, especially those who live around water. They are known to be the perfect family dog, although it may not like strangers as much, making it a good watchdog as well. Its stubborn personality can make it a tough dog to have sometimes, but they will give their family all the love they can!

Weight: 80-150 pounds

Originating in the Anatolian region of Turkey, this big dog is considered an amazing guard dog due to its ability to recognize what the situation needs to protect its territory. They protect those they consider their family, regardless of what species they are, be it human or animal, and will be loyal no matter what.

Also known as “Appenzeller Mountain Dog” or “Appenzell Cattle Dog”, this breed is an affectionate family dog with origins in Switzerland. Originally used for guarding livestock, this dog tends to be a pack animal and needs to recognize one of his owners as the pack leader. They have no breed specific diseases and are very intelligent dogs.

Australian Cattle dog is a pleasant breed to pet with family. They are active, curious, and alert dog breeds. You can easily train these cattle dogs as they are obedient, energetic and smart dogs. They can be loyal and protective to your livestock. Australian Cattle dogs originated from Australia and were used for driving cattle’s on the rough terrain. They belong to medium-sized dog breeds.

Also called “Aussies” these beautiful animals are commonly used for herding sheep. They are extremely smart and loyal family dogs who need to be kept entertained. Contrary to what its name makes you suspect, these dogs are not from Australia, they are from the United States. Regardless of their origins, however, this breed will always protect its family.
